Role summary

Lead FLOW’s citizen-science river monitoring programme across the Hampshire Avon, supporting volunteers and helping communities collect reliable water-quality data. You’ll manage monitoring records, identify trends and potential pollution incidents, coordinate investigations and equipment, and turn findings into accessible reports and communications. The role also involves building partnerships with farmers, landowners, regulators and environmental organisations, establishing a Riverfly network, and organising training and public events. Strong organisation, communication, volunteer or community engagement experience, and confidence managing projects are important; river expertise can be developed with training.
