Role summary

Support Hampshire County Council’s Ecology Team and Biodiversity Information Centre by gathering, managing, interpreting and sharing biodiversity information. The work helps the council and its partners meet environmental policy and statutory duties on development and stewardship. You will handle biodiversity data using GIS and databases, and may contribute habitat survey and classification knowledge. Applicants need an appropriate qualification, understanding of ecology and wildlife legislation, and experience with biodiversity data; strong organisation, communication and the ability to work collaboratively are also important.
