Role summary

Help manage and protect Hillingdon’s tree population by inspecting council trees, assessing service requests, specifying tree works and overseeing contractors. You’ll advise planning, highways, housing and other services, and contribute to the Council’s Tree Strategy. The varied work includes Tree Preservation Orders, Conservation Area notifications, tree-risk management, pest and disease control, insurance claims, resident enquiries and woodland initiatives. Applicants need arboricultural or related qualifications, UK experience, knowledge of tree legislation, accurate inspection-recording skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
