Role summary

Advise farmers and land managers on improving the environmental value and sustainability of their land in the North York Moors. You’ll help them understand land-management opportunities, access Defra schemes and adopt practices that support soil health, nutrient management, lower emissions, agroforestry and peatland restoration. The role also involves working with farm clusters to encourage training and landscape-scale collaboration, and coordinating activity with other conservation initiatives. Experience of farming systems, farmland habitats and environmental schemes is essential.
