Role summary
Lead day and multi-day sea-kayak trips in the San Juan Islands, sharing the region’s wildlife, marine ecosystems and conservation challenges with visitors. You will interpret marine mammals, seabirds, intertidal life and island ecology; model Leave No Trace principles and responsible wildlife viewing; and manage route planning and guest safety. The work also includes trip preparation and equipment maintenance. The position calls for strong kayak handling, risk-management skills and an interest in natural-history interpretation.
