Role summary

Manage woodland and countryside sites across a third of Sheffield, leading staff and working with volunteers, contractors, partners and stakeholders to meet management-plan objectives and service standards. The role combines day-to-day operational responsibilities with delivery of strategic ambitions across a substantial green-space network. Sheffield City Council seeks an experienced woodland, forestry or countryside professional with confident leadership and strong organisation, able to balance varied site needs and work effectively with partners. The post sits within the Council’s Parks and Countryside service.
