Role summary

Lead risk and safety work across the Student Conservation Association’s outdoor programmes. Responsibilities include maintaining safety policies and training, reviewing programme risk assessments, managing the medical information exchange process, and coaching programme leaders. You will help prepare for and respond to incidents, take part in the 24-hour on-call rota, and lead reviews and debriefs. Candidates need progressive outdoor programme management experience, strong communication and policy skills, and the ability to travel 30–40 days a year.
